OHL Classic at Mayakoba Brings Big Crowds to Downtown Playa del Carmen

Each year in November, downtown Playa del Carmen hosts a big influx of golf enthusiasts for the annual OHL Classic at Mayakoba, Mexico’s biggest PGA Tour event. The tournament takes place at the Mayakoba resort’s Greg Norman-designed El Camaleón Golf Club, which is one of the best PGA Tour golf courses and plays to a par 71 for the professional competition. This year, Patton Kizzire achieved his first PGA Tour win at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in a marathon 36-hold trek, holding off Rickie Fowler by one.
