A brand-new luxury water park concept is coming to the Vidanta Riviera Maya resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, this summer. Set to open June 22, 2019, Jungala will feature the longest lazy river in Latin America and promises to offer a more glamorous, boutique take on the typical water park adventure.
“Luxury travel brand Grupo Vidanta is launching a brand-new experience that will satisfy your love of travel, your inner child, and your appreciation for the finer things in life”, wrote Travel and Leisure of the new Riviera Maya water park.
Jungala will provide an immersive and exclusive experience, including a variety of different restaurants, state-of-the-art rides and VIP cabanas, all in a lush tropical jungle setting of natural rock and tree formations, pergolas, lost ruins, caves, waterfalls and bridges, where you will find a number of native plants, birds and other animals. The new water park will also feature a wave pool with natural beach sand and personalized service, spa treatments, champagne, light bites and more available in the VIP cabanas, which have multiple floors and offer easy access to a long list of amenities.
“In order to preserve the quality of the experience, Jungala will have a set daily capacity of guests to minimize lines and maximize fun”, shared Ivan Chavez, who serves as Exec. VP for Grupo Vidanta. “The boutique park will offer bespoke services throughout, and visitors can expect the same level of excellent quality that has distinguished Vidanta for 45 years”.
The new Jungala water park will also feature several thrilling water slides and rides, including the thrilling Aqua Drop, Aqua Loop, Flatline Loop and Whizzard, as well as family-friendly attractions like the Kids Waterslide Complex and Aqua Play Rain Fortress, which will be the largest interactive play structure in the world when it opens this summer.
Finally, guests will enjoy a variety of dining options at this luxurious new Riviera Maya water park, including a snack hall, mojito bar, sangria bar and a pool bar, as well as a cabana shop and market selling clothing, crafts and other souvenirs. Jungala will be open to both resort guests and the general public seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
