The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya will host the 2016 Men’s and Women’s Cancun Challenge basketball tournament,with a number of games scheduled to take place between Tuesday,Nov. 22 and Saturday,Nov. 26.

This year,the men’s teams will play Tuesday,Nov. 22 and Wednesday,Nov. 23. Participating teams include Auburn,Purdue,Texas Tech and Utah State playing in the Riviera Division,with Eastern Kentucky,Georgia State,Idaho State and the New Jersey Institute of Technology making up the Mayan Division. The women’s teams will play a series of games between Thursday,Nov. 24 through Saturday,Nov. 26. Participating teams include Northeastern,Stanford,Purdue and Wichita State in the Mayan Division,with Davidson,Idaho State,Iowa,James Madison,Toledo and UCLA playing in the Riviera Division.
All games are played in eastern standard time and a full schedule is available at www.cancunchallenge.net. CBS Sports will air the men’s Riviera Division,while the Mayan competitions can be viewed on YouTube Live. Seating is limited and fans are advised to reserve vacation homes and/or vacation rental packages that include airport transfers,accommodations and resort credits. Tournament banquet and admission packages are also available.
