A Journey Into Paradise

Mexico has the Best Beaches in the World

08 August, 2016

From the rocky shorelines and stunning beach towns of Puerto Vallarta, the Riviera Nayarit and Cabo San Lucas on Mexico’s Pacific coast, to the soft, white-sand beaches and fantastic real estate opportunities of Cancun, Puerto Aventuras, Playa del Carmen and Tulum in the Riviera Maya on Mexico’s only Caribbean coast, there’s little doubt that Mexico has the best beaches in the world.

“Imagine sand as soft as sifted flour, a cyan sky and 13th-century Mayan ruins atop a rocky cliff and you have Tulum, a refreshingly unreconstructed resort on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula,” wrote The Guardian. “Compared with Cancun, 80 miles to the north, Tulum will appeal to those who want to let the silence in and experience a sense of timelessness.”

Best Beaches Equal Valuable Real Estate

Regardless of whether you are dreaming of retirement in Mexico, looking for a fantastic return on investment, are making a moving abroad checklist or are simply interested in buying real estate near the best beaches in the world; places like Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo have something for everyone. For starters, all of Mexico’s top destinations offer easy access to international airports and are as safe (or safer) thank many popular U.S. cities.

Why Tulum?

Ok, it’s no secret that we love all of Mexico’s beach destinations, but we think Tulum and the surrounding Riviera Maya deserves a bit of extra attention on any moving abroad checklist. For one thing, Tulum is actually an ancient Mayan seaport complete with a pyramid and other ruins overlooking the sparkling clear blue Caribbean Sea. For another thing, Tulum offers an impressive array of high-quality real estate, including throughout locations in nearby Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras and Cancun, which lies just north of the Riviera Maya in Mexico. And if you’re looking for excellent return on investment, real estate in Tulum is really tough to beat when it comes to international beach destinations. And with the best beaches in the world, Tulum is at the top of virtually every list of the best places for retirement in Mexico, including ours!

“Tulum has grown in recent years from a backpacker’s favorite to a thriving tourist haven and expat hot-spot,” wrote The Huffington Post. “People are drawn by the year-round warm weather, beautiful white sand beaches, active social life, and the laid back lifestyle of a beach town.”

More Popular Places For Retirement In Mexico

Mexico has the best beaches in the world lining both coasts – with more than 30 Blue Flag beach certifications as of mid-2016, a number that continues to rise each year. Most recently, Playa Oro in Puerto Vallarta officially received the international Blue Flag Certification on August 1.

“The certifications reinforce tourism and economic competitiveness in the area,” wrote Vallarta Daily. “To ensure the achievement of these awards, beach activities are regulated to provide services with international standards, water quality and the management of waste.”
