Karisma Hotels & Resorts has announced that it will debut the El Dorado Seaside Suites,located just 20 minutes from the up and coming town of Tulum and just south of Playa del Carmen in Mexico’s famed Riviera Maya. The 192 all-suite property is set to open Nov. 1 situated right next to Karisma’s Sensimar Seaside Suites,which is a TUI-branded hotel targeting the European market.
“The newly built El Dorado Seaside Suites will offer Karisma’s trademark Gourmet Inclusive Experience,with 20 on-site dining and bar venues,offering fine dining and casual al fresco restaurants as well as 24-hour in-room dining service,” writes Travel Weekly.
Guests staying at the El Dorado will also have access to the restaurants and bars at Sensimar. Suites at the El Dorado include a private terrace with an outdoor day bed and circular sofa that pivots 360 degrees to allow for maximum enjoyment of the Caribbean vistas that have made Mexico’s Riviera Maya famous worldwide. The resort will also feature a special Mayan-themed N’aay Spa,featuring unique treatments,an ice room,a mud cabin,reflexology and beachfront massages. The property’s La Cantina Tequila Bar – one of ten bars and lounges located on the property – offers a vast collection of tequila and mescal. If craft cocktails,specialty beers and wine is more your speed,check out the Gourmet Pub.
Other New Resorts
Other new properties are now offering even more amazing places to stay in Mexico,including the new Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort,which opened July 15 in the heart of what Market Watch dubbed “one of the world’s most desirable beach towns.” Boasting suites that appear to “float” over downtown Playa’s ever-popular Mamitas Beach,an open-air lobby set in a mangrove forest and a Mayan-inspired spa,there’s an unmistakable air of luxury throughout the 314-room property.
In addition,AMResorts announced this year that it will open two new properties in Playa del Carmen by 2017,including the 500-room Breathless Playa del Carmen and Dreams Villas Playa del Carmen,which will offer 150 luxury villas and 50 junior suites to choose from.
Finally,the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort debuted the addition of 65 new club-level rooms and suites on Aug. 27,offering magnificent panoramic views at every turn,luxury amenities,custom-crafted furnishings,marble bathrooms and private balconies. According to Travel Pulse,the resort is hoping to attract larger numbers of ultra-luxe travelers with the newly unveiled accommodations.
Recent renovations at the Hilton Los Cabos also include three new restaurant concepts,a tequila and mezcal lobby bar and extensive new landscaping throughout the grounds. Club-level accommodations will also include private check-in,welcome drinks,private round-trip transfers from the airport,reserved beach and pool beds,personalized concierge services and exclusive access to the new Vista Lounge. This unique concept takes things up a notch,offering a series of culinary experiences throughout the day for breakfast,lunch and dinner.
“It will be very personalized and offer variety on a daily basis,introducing guests to what Baja and Mexico embrace,” Gabriela Vanderlee,director of sales and marketing for the resort.
