After looking thorough this month's Golf Digest,I figured it was time to start applying myself and my golf game. The Jim McLean Golf School which usually holds courses in the US and Europe is now branching out to Mexico. Jim McLean is offering his 3 day golf school courses every weekend starting this golf season in the booming Riviera Maya,Mexico. If you are living, visiting,or working in Mexico and you want to take his legendary courses, they are only being offered at Mayakoba,in the Riviera Maya.
Although there are dozens of world class golf courses in the Riviera Maya here, some just stand out. A colleague of mine often talks about people wanting to come here for golf and the beautiful beaches. Well, the golf course at Mayakoba, designed by Greg Norman combines both. With 3 holes over looking the blue Caribbean sea,it is hard to not see why this is the only golf course on the PGA tour in Latin America. I mention this because if you are lucky enough to take a weekend course at Jim McLeans's golf school, you will not be disappointed by the natural beauty of this spectacular course.
Having played The Camelon before, playing at Mayakoba a few weeks ago I can say it has something for every type of golfer. However,I need to really work on my game. My golf game is not exactly on par with the beauty and challenges of this course. Therefore,I am going to gut it out and take some lessons from Jim McLean in hopes that I can pick up a few tips and better acclimate myself to the dozens of challenging courses offered here in the beautiful Riviera Maya.
I hope to see you there!
