The much-anticipated Puerto Vallarta Restaurant Week 2011 will take place from May 15th through May 31st and will feature some of the region's most celebrated modern chefs and restaurants. Since 2005 local entrepreneur and publisher of Vallarta Lifestyles,John Youden,has organized the event,which has become quite popular among both locals and tourists from around the world.
The 17-day festival offers attendees a chance to sample delectable,award-winning items from the menus of Puerto Vallarta's top restaurants and cafes,which will offer discounts up to 50 percent on selected items. Menu prices typically range from $15-$20.00 USD,which is a bargain price that is sure to draw foodies from around the world to sample the resort city's finest cuisine.
Among the participating venues are the Puerto Vallarta marina and hotel zone's Thierry's Prime Steak House,the super-chic La Leche,and La Estancia,which is located in the award-winning Marriott Resort and Spa. Barcelona Tapas,Cafe des Artistes and the trendy Mexican restaurant El Arrayan are among the establishments representing the Centro Historico district,while the Romantic Zone offers longtime favorites such as Archie's Wok,Daiquiri Dick's,Kaiser Maxmillian and La Palapa,as well as hot new dining destinations like Vitae and Marazul. Also of note from Puerto Vallarta's south shore are the stunning Le Kliff and Blanca Bleu,which also boasts a very impressive wine selection.
