Consistently proving Mexico’s outstanding reputation as a must-see travel destination offering world class hotels and resorts, two more Mexican real estate properties have been recently designated by AAA with the prestigious ‘Five Diamond’ title.
Along with the twelve previously acclaimed hotels in Mexico, the La Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun and the Grand Velas Riviera Maya have been added to the list, resulting in 14 Mexican hotels that have been granted the AAA Five Diamond Award.
Having these two new awardees,Mexico can take pride in being home to a wide range of Five Diamond resorts, from deluxe properties to a variety of newer,lesser-known and culturally diverse locations. All of these AAA Five Diamond properties are made available to travelers who come to visit Mexico’s spectacular destinations. Cabo San Lucas,Playa Del Carmen,Riviera Nayarit,Cancun and Riviera Maya are some of the equally unique and magnificent AAA Five Diamond acclaimed beauties in Mexico.
Approximately 54 percent of active leisure travelers in America depend on hotel and resort ratings systems when booking a trip. Therefore, the Mexico Tourism Board gives utmost importance and significance to these distinctions . To keep the standards high,AAA conducts an annual assessment on more than 59,000 accommodation establishments and restaurants. A scale of one to five Diamonds serves as the basis of their evaluation. To attain a one diamond rating, the property should comply with AAA’s basic standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality, among other requirements. A five diamond rating,on the other hand, should present an exemplary level of sophistication and luxury.
The Five Diamond title is reserved for properties that exemplify a premier level of excellence and distinction in every aspect of the establishment’s operation. And among the 59,000 properties that qualify for the AAA evaluation, only a very small percentage has ever earned the most prestigious designation.
