Morgans Hotel Group Co., the parent company based in New York, has entered into a contract to open a new Delano hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, which is located on the Baja Peninsula. The new Delano resort and hotel, currently under construction, is scheduled to begin operations in early 2013. It will include 114 rooms,23 residences, a bar, a spa and a restaurant.
Known for its classy clientele and clean, white luxurious décor, the soon-to-open Delano hotel in Cabo will offer unprecedented hospitality and warmth, along with fresh local seafood, traditional Mexican cuisine, a bar with excellent pub food and drinks, and an entire host of other amenities that one would expect to find at a resort hotel carrying the Delano name.
Cabo San Lucas is world renowned as a vacation destination, thanks to its gorgeous beaches, excellent scuba diving, abundant marine life and fabulous climate. All year long, visitors, expats and locals can enjoy a variety of activities and amenities, and the local real estate market is booming.
According to Marc Gordon, president of Morgans Hotel Group, the new hotel will be a wonderful addition to the unique options that are already available for their guests. The branding contracts and long term business plan expresses the strong appeal of Morgans hotels, not only within the US but also abroad. The company also expressed confidence that its international expansions will continue in the near future.
In addition to the hotel located within Cabo San Lucas Real Estate, Morgans also signed agreements to build a 200-room Delano hotel in Turkey that is scheduled to open in 2013, as well as a 175-room hotel that will open in New York City in 2014.
