HGTV returned to Puerto Vallarta this April to shoot its seventh episode of the show in this iconic Pacific coast city. This episode will feature buyers Jason Baker and Felipe Perez as they search for the perfect piece of real estate in Puerto Vallarta.

The show will reportedly highlight the many advantages of living in Mexico – and particularly Puerto Vallarta – including the culture, wide variety of entertainment options fabulous cuisine the area is known for worldwide. Other aspects of Jason and Felipe’s decision to move to Puerto Vallarta include the area’s safety, cleanliness and overall superior quality of life that this bayside destination has to offer.
“The show will also highlight how easy it is to move or retire to Mexico and will showcase Puerto Vallarta as one of the premier cities around the world for expatriates to invest in properly,” wrote Vallarta Daily.
For one thing, tourism in Puerto Vallarta is on a consistent upswing, with more and more worldwide travelers coming to experience the unique local traditions, flowing liquor and broad, beautiful beaches firsthand. And the timing could not have been better, because as Michael Kaminer of the New York Daily News reported,Puerto Vallarta has gotten a recent “injection of cool” thanks to a group of bold new creative types who were attracted to Puerto Vallarta’s 98% return rate among visitors.
“The big reveal for me – a first-time visitor – was how enchanted I became with old-school Puerto Vallarta,” wrote Kaminer. “The trick to appreciating Puerto Vallarta was to embrace both sides of its personality.”
