Dave Pautsch has a theory: Come Super Bowl Sunday on February 1st,you'll start
seeing a real estate upswing. The Sales Associate with RE/MAX Integrity in
Albany,Ore.,formulated the idea after reading a RE/MAX blog and while
answering listener emails on his radio show "Real Estate Talk" on KGAL NewsTalk
Pautsch (CRS) says his 2009 real estate forecast is based less on
the football game than it is on the timing.
"I've always looked at Super
Bowl Sunday as the traditional holiday downturn," Pautsch says. "By Super Bowl
Sunday,decorations are put away and people's minds turn to the future. Add to
that the end of the election process,and I think you're going to see people
changing their attitudes and views."
It's Pautsch's nature,he says,to
be positive about the real estate industry's future and to project his
confidence in the resilience of the United States,but he also believes it's a
"So much of your happiness is what you make it," Pautsch says. "I
really think you have to make that conscious decision to stay positive. I don't
think you should lie and spin things,but you have to keep in mind that things
will get better - one problem at a time. "
