Tulum Airport: "Economic Trigger"

12 September, 2012

Antonio Pool,a member of Tulum's new municipal council, said this week that the
new Riviera Maya international airport
could be an "economic trigger" leading to Tulum becoming one of the most
prosperous areas in the State.

In a report this week by local newspaper,
Diario de Quintana Roo,Pool emphasized
the importance of putting the correct legal and environmental frameworks in
place to ensure safe and sustainable economic benefits for

Marciano Dzul,Tulum's
first ever mayor
,took office at the beginning of April and the airport will
form an important part of his economic development plan.

Since Tulum
became an independent municipality last year and the new international airport
has been confirmed, land prices have already risen rapidly. Despite the global
real estate
is ready to boom.
