New changes were announced this week by the Canadian government allowing more
airlines to operate routes to Mexico.
Canada's Transport Minister,John
Baird,said the changes to allocations for scheduled Air Canada,Air Transat,
WestJet and Sunwing services will benefit travellers by encouraging competition,
innovation and growth.
Earlier this month Canadian airline,WestJet,
anounced new flights from Regina in central Canada to Cancun,Mazatlan,Puerto
Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas,starting in the second week of
American airline JetBlue also said this month that they will
start an additional service out of Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International
Airport in Florida to Cancun.
