Mexico is still the most affordable location in the world to do business,according to a new study just published by international financial services experts, KPMG.
The Competitive Alternatives 2010 report,which KPMG releases every two years,said that Mexico is 18.2 percent cheaper for doing business than the U.S.,which they used as the benchmark.
The comparative analysis looked at the cost of doing business in more than 100 cities in ten different countries. This year,the U.S. dropped to eighth place.
Canada came second with costs 5 percent lower and the U.K. was in fifth place,also ahead of the U.S.,but partly dues to exchange rate advantage.
Monterrey and Mexico City,the two Mexican cities studied by KPMG also ranked first and second,respectively.
